Soft landscaping for an office refurbishment

Little projects like this provide us with the ideal opportunity to introduce a little green personality to the frontage of city centre office buildings.

The planting was required to be in keeping with the building fascade and provide a 'high-end' finish to reflect the aspirations of the building's tenants. 

• Heavy labour was needed to prepare the beds which were filled with 3 tonnes of premium grade topsoil.

• The beds were planted with 60cm high pre-grown box hedging -  with 2x1m high Laurus Nobilis with clipped 50cm diameter heads, providing a framing feature for the building entrance.

• The planter beds were finished off with a Cotswold buff decorative stone.

A simple maintenance programme was put in place to ensure the planting settles in; with maintenance visits scheduled weekly between April & September (monthly between October & March).
